La seva <span class=\"has-inline-color\" style=\"color: #009900;\">funci\u00f3<\/span> \u00e9s <span class=\"has-inline-color\" style=\"color: #009900;\">adaptativa <\/span>i ens dirigeix a preparar-nos cap a determinades accions. Aguditzen els nostres sentits i ens mobilitzen en una determinada direcci\u00f3. Aquestes reaccions es manifesten amb canvis fisiol\u00f2gics, canvis a nivell de pensament i canvis a nivell de conducta. Les emocions modifiquen el nostre estat afectiu i compleixen alguna funci\u00f3 \u00fatil i profitosa per satisfer les nostres necessitats o objectius. Les emocions canvien el nostre afecte, motiven les nostres accions i tamb\u00e9 compleixen una funci\u00f3 de comunicaci\u00f3 social.<\/p>\n\n<p>Amb aquets canvis es promouen comportaments i accions dirigides b\u00e0sicament a evitar all\u00f2 que ens resultaria perjudicial i apropar-nos a all\u00f2 que ens resultaria benefici\u00f3s.<\/p>\n\n<p>Existeix un grup d&#8217;emocions b\u00e0siques o prim\u00e0ries i altres m\u00e9s complexes anomenades secund\u00e0ries. Les emocions prim\u00e0ries son: por, ira, alegria, tristor, sorpresa i f\u00e0stic. Respecte les emocions secund\u00e0ries, els autors les descriuen com emocions m\u00e9s complexes, combinaci\u00f3 de les prim\u00e0ries, dependents de l&#8217;aprenentatge, la cultura i el proc\u00e9s maduratiu de la persona. La seva expressi\u00f3 \u00e9s molt similar entre nosaltres, per\u00f2 depenent de les nostres caracter\u00edstiques, aprenentatges i experi\u00e8ncies, experimentarem certes emocions d&#8217;una manera particular i diferent als altes.<\/p>\n\n<p>El mateix passa amb el motiu que les provoca. <span class=\"has-inline-color\" style=\"color: #009900;\">Una mateixa situaci\u00f3 pot desencadenar emocions diferents entre les persones <\/span>o amb un grau d&#8217;intensitat molt diferent. En aquest sentit, tamb\u00e9 les nostres caracter\u00edstiques i experi\u00e8ncies modulen la manera en que experimentem les emocions.<span class=\"has-inline-color\" style=\"color: #009900;\"> Mitjan\u00e7ant com visquem una situaci\u00f3, com la interpretem o percebem, experimentem emocions diferents<\/span> o amb un nivell d&#8217;intensitat m\u00e9s o menys elevat.<\/p>\n\n<p>Un bon exemple el tenim mitjan\u00e7ant com vivim la por, que \u00e9s una de les expressions fonamentals de l&#8217;ansietat. No a tothom li fa por el mateix ni amb la mateixa intensitat.<\/p>\n\n<p>Alguns exemples:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color\" style=\"color: #009900;\">Cometre una errada a la feina:<\/span> <\/strong>Hi ha qui viur\u00e0 aquest fet amb temor a que el seu cap li digui alguna cosa, el sancioni o incl\u00fas l&#8217;acomiadi, o pensi malament de les seves capacitats, i per tant se sentir\u00e0 ansi\u00f3s, amb por i preocupat. Per\u00f2 una altre persona, encara que no estigui satisfeta, pot entendre que \u00e9s normal cometre errors i que tot i aix\u00f2 la seva feina \u00e9s v\u00e0lida i de qualitat. Aquesta persona no sentir\u00e0 por ni preocupaci\u00f3 o en tot cas la intensitat ser\u00e0 molt m\u00e9s baixa que en el primer cas.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color\" style=\"color: #009900;\">Tenir una cita:<\/span><\/strong> Algunes persones, davant la situaci\u00f3 de con\u00e8ixer a alg\u00fa i tenir una cita poden activar-se molt, estar for\u00e7a neguitosos\/es, pensar que no estaran a l&#8217;al\u00e7ada o que no agradaran a l&#8217;altre persona, i per tant, dormiran malament la nit anterior, es preocuparan i s&#8217;angoixaran. En canvi, altres persones poden veure aquesta situaci\u00f3 amb motivaci\u00f3 i com quelcom atractiu, interpretant la cita com quelcom divertit independentment de \u201cl&#8217;\u00e8xit\u201d, i per tant, se sentiran il\u00b7lusionats\/ades i contents\/es amb la cita. La primera persona pensa preocupada \u201c\u00a1oh no, tinc una cita!\u201d mentre la segona pensa alegrement \u201c\u00a1fant\u00e0stic, tinc una cita!\u201d.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color\" style=\"color: #009900;\">Una presentaci\u00f3 en p\u00fablic:<\/span> <\/strong>Hi haur\u00e0 qui davant d&#8217;una possible avaluaci\u00f3 negativa per part dels altres sentiran por i ansietat intensos, i la seva experi\u00e8ncia ser\u00e0 \u201che estat molt nervi\u00f3s\/a, la presentaci\u00f3 ha sigut un desastre\u201d, mentre altes podrien gaudir-ho i el seu grau d&#8217;ansietat seria pr\u00e0cticament inexistent.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color\" style=\"color: #009900;\">Viatjar en avi\u00f3<\/span><\/strong>: Hi ha qui ho pateix i hi ha qui ho gaudeix.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Com veiem en aquests exemples, les emocions no nom\u00e9s depenen de la situaci\u00f3 desencadenant, tamb\u00e9 depenent de molts altres factors.<\/p>\n\n<p>Encara que tenim tend\u00e8ncia a distingir les emocions com a negatives o positives, aquesta distinci\u00f3 no fa just\u00edcia a la seva funci\u00f3. Considerem aquestes dues categories per com ens fan sentir quan les experimentem. Una descripci\u00f3 m\u00e9s raonable seria dividir-les en agradables o desagradables, per\u00f2 considerant que totes elles serien positives per que ens ajuden a adaptar-nos i a superar dificultats. Les emocions experimentades com desagradables tenen l&#8217;objectiu d&#8217;evitar o allunyar-nos de quelcom contraproduent, mentre que les agradables tenen l&#8217;objectiu d&#8217;apropar-nos a&#8230;, o que es tornin a produir les circumst\u00e0ncies o situacions que ens resulten profitoses.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color\" style=\"color: #009900;\">Totes les emocions son adaptatives i ens ajuden?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Depenent del grau i la circumst\u00e0ncia en que es manifestin. Si es manifesten amb una intensitat adient i davant de circumst\u00e0ncies que ho requereixen, llavors si que ens ajuden, per\u00f2 sempre passa aix\u00ed. Quan passa que una emoci\u00f3 apareix de manera desproporcionada o exagerada, o en un context on no es requereix, pot fins i tot dificultar el nostre rendiment i la consecuci\u00f3 d&#8217;objectius. Quan aix\u00f2 passa, \u00e9s quan considerem que una emoci\u00f3 \u00e9s desadaptativa o inadequada. Aix\u00f2 passa sovint amb els problemes relacionats amb l&#8217;ansietat. L&#8217;ansietat i la por ens ajuden a preparar-nos per afrontar millor una situaci\u00f3 complicada, dif\u00edcil o perillosa, per\u00f2 si la ansietat \u00e9s massa intensa o es presenta sense que en realitat hi hagi perill, llavors pot entorpir molt el nostre benestar i els nostres objectius. Ser\u00e0 llavors una emoci\u00f3 contraproduent que ens produir\u00e0 un malestar innecessari. En aquets casos la ter\u00e0pia psicol\u00f2gica ens pot ajudar. Un tractament cognitiu-conductual ens oferir\u00e0 una s\u00e8rie d&#8217;eines i estrat\u00e8gies per superar els nostres problemes, reconduir les nostres emocions per que apareguin de nou en un grau adient i en les circumst\u00e0ncies necess\u00e0ries.
