El medi es una font d\u2019oportunitats per a la satisfacci\u00f3 de les seves necessitats i interessos, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 de riscos i amenaces. En ess\u00e8ncia, la relaci\u00f3 de l\u2019individu amb el medi consisteix en procurar-se i conservar les primeres, i en combatre, evitar, minimitzar o contrarestar les segones. L\u2019evoluci\u00f3 ha anat dotant a l\u2019esp\u00e8cie de complexos mecanismes destinats a preservar-se i millorar l\u2019adaptaci\u00f3 a diferents entorns i circumst\u00e0ncies. Entre ells, han arribat a tenir especial rellev\u00e0ncia i desenvolupament els sistemes d\u2019alerta i defensa. El sistema que anomenem ansietat, compleix aquestes funcions.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"color_azul\">L\u2019ansietat \u00e9s un sistema d\u2019alarma<\/span> de l\u2019organisme davant de situacions considerades una amena\u00e7a, \u00e9s a dir, situacions que ens afecten i en les que tenim quelcom a guanyar o a perdre. El concepte d\u2019ansietat est\u00e0 aix\u00ed estretament lligat a la percepci\u00f3 d\u2019amena\u00e7a i a la disposici\u00f3 de respostes davant ella. La funci\u00f3 de l\u2019ansietat \u00e9s advertir i activar l\u2019organisme, mobilitzar-lo, davant de situacions d\u2019un risc segur o probable, quim\u00e8ric o real, de forma que pugui sortir victori\u00f3s d\u2019elles. Depenent de la natura de les amenaces, o adversitats, <span class=\"color_azul\">l\u2019ansietat ens preparar\u00e0<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>per lluitar, afrontar o atacar el possible perill o problema;<\/li>\n<li>per fugir del possible perill o amena\u00e7a;<\/li>\n<li>per evitar situacions aversives o temudes;<\/li>\n<li>per activar conductes de submissi\u00f3 que neutralitzin conductes hostils d\u2019altres \u2013en situacions de tipus social-;<\/li>\n<li>per buscar recolzament, elements de seguretat i protecci\u00f3;<\/li>\n<li>per donar-nos eines o coneixements que ens permetin sortejar els riscos i\/o aconseguir els nostres objectius.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"tit_azul\"><span class=\"color_azul\">L\u2019ansietat integra tres tipus de components<\/span><\/span><span class=\"color_azul\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"color_azul\">Cognitius<\/span><strong>:<\/strong> anticipacions amena\u00e7ants, evaluacions del risc, pensaments autom\u00e0tics negatius, imatges inoportunes, etc.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"color_azul\">Fisiol\u00f2gics<\/span>: activaci\u00f3 de diversos centres nerviosos, particularment del sistema nervi\u00f3s aut\u00f2nom, que implica canvis vasculars, respiratoris, etc.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"color_azul\">Motors i de conducta<\/span><strong>:<\/strong> inhibici\u00f3 o sobreactivaci\u00f3 motora, comportament defensiu, buscar seguretat, submissi\u00f3, evitaci\u00f3, agressivitat, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cadascun&nbsp; d\u2019aquests components pot actuar amb certa independ\u00e8ncia. L\u2019ansietat es pot desencadenar, tant per est\u00edmuls externs o situacionals, com per est\u00edmuls interns del subjecte, com pensaments, sensacions, imatges. El tipus d\u2019est\u00edmul capa\u00e7 d\u2019evocar la resposta d\u2019ansietat vindr\u00e0 determinat en gran mesura per les caracter\u00edstiques de la persona, i les seves circumst\u00e0ncies. Es tracta d\u2019un mecanisme que facilita la nostre relaci\u00f3 amb el medi, i est\u00e0 destinat a preservar els interessos de l\u2019individu i de l\u2019esp\u00e8cie. Moltes de les coses que ens van be son gr\u00e0cies, en part, al correcte funcionament d\u2019aquest sistema: evitar activitats o llocs perillosos, que no arribem tard a la feina, fer front a diferents conflictes, preparar-nos per un ex\u00e0men o una reuni\u00f3, trobar recolzament per resoldre un problema, minimitzar alguns contratemps o trobar formes d\u2019assumir-los i reformular-los.<\/p>\n<p>De fet, per desenvolupar-nos convenientment, en funci\u00f3 de les exig\u00e8ncies i opcions del medi, per un cant\u00f3, i de les nostres possibilitats i interessos, per un altre, \u00e9s necessari un cert estat d\u2019alerta, una activaci\u00f3 psicol\u00f2gica i fisiol\u00f2gica m\u00ednimes. D\u2019una altre manera seriem massa lents, poc atents, amb poca capacitat d\u2019anticipaci\u00f3 i resposta, el que ens podria comportar m\u00e9s d\u2019un perjudici o ren\u00fancia.<\/p>\n<p>Quan l\u2019ansietat \u00e9s proporcionada i es manifesta dintre d\u2019uns l\u00edmits, no s\u2019aprecien manifestacions simptom\u00e0tiques&nbsp; -els canvis psicofisiol\u00f2gics no arriben a superar els l\u00edmits sensorials dels receptors del dolor, la pressi\u00f3, la temperatura-, o be son menors, excepte en algun moment puntual i limitat que poden ser elevats. Aquests canvis en els processos fisiol\u00f2gics no nom\u00e9s son normals, si no que son funcionals: preparen l\u2019organisme per emetre les accions pertinents en relaci\u00f3 a la realitat que s\u2019afronta o es pogu\u00e9s afrontar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;Son molts els investigadors que han estudiat la relaci\u00f3 entre el nivell d\u2019activaci\u00f3 psicofisiol\u00f2gica de l\u2019organisme i la capacitat de l\u2019individu per desenvolupar-se d\u2019una manera eficient. En general es considera que el millor rendiment s\u2019aconsegueix amb nivells mitjans d\u2019activaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><span class=\"tit_azul\">Ansietat Disfuncional<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Quan l\u2019ansietat sobrepassa determinats l\u00edmits es converteix en un problema de salut, i interfereix notablement en les activitats socials, laborals o intel.lectuals. Pot limitar la llibertat de moviments i opcions personals. En aquests casos no estem davant un simple problema de nervis, sin\u00f3 d\u2019una alteraci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>La gravetat dels trastorns d\u2019ansietat es mesura fonamentalment per dos par\u00e0metres: el patiment i la incapacitat que generen, essent m\u00e9s greus els que originen problemes de salut, i m\u00e9s intensos, i impliquen majors limitacions a qui els pateix.<\/p>\n<p>Es calcula que entre un 15% i un 20% de la poblaci\u00f3 pateix, o arribar\u00e0 a patir al llarg de la seva vida, problemes relacionats amb l\u2019ansietat amb una import\u00e0ncia prou com per requerir tractament. La millora espont\u00e0nia \u2013 sense consulta ni tractament &#8211;&nbsp; dels problemes d\u2019ansietat \u00e9s improbable. En la majoria de casos l\u2019ansietat tendeix a mantenir-se, i estendre\u2019s i generalitzar-se. Tractar de superar-la amb for\u00e7a de voluntat, com pensen algunes persones, no \u00e9s efectiu. Voler que els s\u00edmptomes desapareguin no dona resultat, no \u00e9s suficient. El m\u00e9s convenient es rebre tractament el m\u00e9s d\u2019hora possible.
